Canvas of Creation:
When I saw the Canadian Rockies for the first time I was stunned by their beauty. The multitude of complexities required to have such a magnificent site in front of me was impossible to fully comprehend. The more I stared the more I was in awe with what God created. While I stood there absorbing the experience, I realized those complexities extended to all matter in Creation… like a dimensional nexus with rifts going in every direction from the microscopic to the mammoth. There were so many variables, diverse fauna and flora, amazing architecture in the construct of insects, animals, plants, planets, stars… the list goes on and on. I looked at my old camera and knew immediately it needed to be replace if I hoped to capture even a sliver of what I was witnessing. It was at that point my history and love of photography began.
To me, photography is a spiritual journey… a place where our visual interpretation blends with deeper expressions of our experience. Each flicker capturing what we observe and feel in a single frame… a duality, born the instant the shutter flexes, anchoring that special moment in perpetuity. Our passion catalogued in stacks of stills, brought to life over and over in each remembrance. Photographs are greater than self, larger than the singularity of our duality. They entice fellow travelers to embrace each image in colors of their own experience, forming, once again, a union unique to the interpretation and the traveler.. All of this with the back drop of God’s hand in creation. I could continue this journey alone and be content but there is something soothing in the sounds of like footsteps and quiet conversations. I am pleased to have your company along the journey. I always invite the Lord to walk with me as well. It is His creativity and blessing that has allowed me the privilege of witnessing such magnificence.
The majority of photos will deal with the Lord’s creation, rural life, flora, and fauna. It may change along the way as subjects tend to present themselves.
